- Personality
- Support skills

Mornings, evenings, weekends or overnight — support is arranged around the day you already have.
Care in your own home
Help that keeps familiar surroundings, neighbours and routines part of everyday life.
Independence, protected
Support fills the gaps that have become hard, so the rest of the day still belongs to the person living it.

Choice in who helps
You review the people available and decide who is welcome in the home.
What support can cover
Aged Care Support in the Home and Community
Aged care support through Support Network is largely in-home and community based, helping older Australians keep their routines, independence and connections. Here is what each type of support looks like in real life.
Where to begin
Not Sure Where to Start? That’s Okay.
Most families know that more support is needed long before they know how to arrange it. If you are unsure about any of the following, you are exactly who we help.
- Which aged care provider to choose
- What services are actually available
- What your funding or package covers
- How much support is really needed
- How to find reliable, experienced workers
- How quickly support can begin
Support Network helps you understand and explore the options, so the decision feels informed rather than rushed.
Explore support options yourself
Some people know exactly what they need and want to start looking straight away. Review the kinds of support available, see what workers in the area can offer and make an informed choice in your own time.
Or let our team help narrow it down
Others would rather speak with someone first. Tell us what support you are looking for and our team can help narrow down the possibilities and walk you through the next step. You do not have to figure everything out alone.
Quality and compliance
Quality Matters When Someone Is Coming Into Your Home
“Compliance checked” should mean something specific. Here is what is verified before a support worker is available through Support Network.
For families
Finding Care for Mum or Dad?
Families rarely arrive with a tidy plan. Usually something has shifted, and the people closest are carrying more than they can keep carrying.
- Mum or Dad is struggling with everyday tasks
- Family members are providing more care than they can maintain
- Existing supports are no longer enough
- Someone is returning home after a hospital stay
- Care needs have increased over recent months
- The family wants their loved one to stay living independently at home

Questions
Aged Care Support FAQs
How do I find the right aged care provider?
Start by telling us what is happening at home, the suburb and the kind of help needed. We will talk you through the options available nearby and what each one would look like day to day, so you can decide with a clear picture rather than guessing.
What aged care support can be arranged at home?
Personal care, showering and dressing, help around the home, meal preparation, shopping, transport, companionship, community access, respite for family carers, overnight support, ongoing daily care, and nursing support where appropriate.
Do we need aged care funding before we contact you?
No. Some families have Support at Home funding or a Home Care Package in place, some are waiting on an assessment, and others arrange support privately. Tell us where things stand and we will explain the next step.
Can I arrange aged care for my mum or dad?
Yes. Most enquiries come from an adult child, partner, carer or family representative. Just tell us your relationship to the person needing support.
How quickly can support start?
It depends on the suburb and the type of support required. Urgent situations such as a hospital discharge are common, so tell us how soon help is needed and we will be honest about what is realistic.
Can we choose who comes into the home?
Yes. You can review information about the support workers available nearby, ask questions and decide who provides the care. Familiar faces and consistent routines are the goal.
Can you help after a hospital discharge?
Yes, and it is one of the most common reasons families call. Tell us the discharge date, what help is needed at home and whether the support is short term or ongoing, and we will be straight with you about what can be in place by then.
What if we already have an aged care provider?
That is fine. Depending on the person's funding and provider arrangement, Support Network may be able to work alongside the existing provider to deliver approved supports. Tell us who is involved and we will talk it through.
What if we do not understand the funding?
Very few families do at first, and it will not hold up your enquiry. Tell us what you know — or that you are unsure — and we will explain how support usually works with each arrangement. Support Network does not assess or approve funding.
Does Support Network decide funding or eligibility?
No. Support Network does not assess, approve or guarantee aged care funding or eligibility. We help you understand your options and arrange support that fits the arrangements you already have.
