Your support, your say

Choose Support Around Your Life

The person providing support matters, especially when they are regularly coming into your home. These are the kinds of things you can weigh up before deciding who supports you.

  • Location
  • Experience
  • Availability
  • Gender preference
  • Language
  • Cultural considerations
  • Interests
  • Personality
  • Support skills
  • Preferred days and times
  • Consistency

Choice and control

You decide who provides your support, when it happens and how it is delivered.

Support close to home

We look at workers living near you, so support is realistic to sustain week after week.

Reliability that holds

Support that turns up as agreed is the whole point — everything else depends on it.

Experience that fits

Workers whose background suits the support you actually need, not a generic roster fill.

People you are comfortable with

Personality matters. You can meet and choose the people who come into your home.

Support that fits your life

Built around your routines, your household and the things you want to keep doing.

Types of support

Support Across Everyday Life

Support is arranged around your routines, your household and the things you want to keep doing — at home and out in the community.

Not sure how to describe it?

Need More Than One Type of Support?

You do not have to work out every detail before you get in touch. Tell us what a week actually looks like and where it falls apart, and we will help make sense of the whole support need — not just the one thing easiest to name.

  • Support across several parts of the week rather than one service
  • A mix of personal care, household help and getting out of the house
  • Support that changes between school terms, work or seasons
  • Weekday support plus weekend or overnight cover
  • Respite alongside regular ongoing support
  • Support for more than one person in the same household

Two ways to start

Want to Search Yourself? Great. Want Some Help? We're Here.

Explore support options yourself

Some people know exactly what they need and want to start looking straight away. Review the kinds of support available, see what workers in the area can offer and make an informed choice in your own time.

Or let our team help narrow it down

Others would rather speak with someone first. Tell us what support you are looking for and our team can help narrow down the possibilities and walk you through the next step. You do not have to figure everything out alone.

Quality and compliance

Quality Matters When Someone Is Coming Into Your Home

"Compliance checked" should mean something specific. Here is what is verified before a support worker is available through Support Network.

Identity verification — Every support worker's identity is verified before they are available through Support Network.
Worker screening — NDIS worker screening and working with children checks are held where required for the support being delivered.
Police checks — National police checks are held where applicable to the supports involved.
Qualifications where required — Where a support type calls for formal qualifications or training, those credentials are documented.
Experience that matches — Experience relevant to your support needs — including high-intensity or complex support where required.
Insurance and ongoing compliance — Insurance requirements and compliance documents are checked and kept current over time.

Living independently

Need Support in a Shared or Supported Home?

If you live in supported independent living, or are moving into it, the people rostered on shape your whole week. Support Network can help you explore the workers available for your home and routine.

  • Regular rostered support in your home
  • Overnight and active night support
  • Complex and high-intensity support
  • Personal care and daily routines
  • Community access and getting out
  • Support while settling into a new home

Questions

NDIS Support FAQs

How do I find an NDIS provider near me?

Tell us the suburb, the supports you are looking for and what matters to you. We will look at the support workers and services available in that area and talk you through the options, so you can choose rather than cold-call a list of providers.

Can I change NDIS providers?

Yes. Participants change providers for all sorts of reasons — reliability, availability, staff turnover, a move, or simply wanting a better fit. You can talk to us while your current supports are still in place.

I am new to the NDIS. Where do I start?

Start with what daily life needs to look like. Tell us what is hard right now and what you would like to be doing, and we will explain the kinds of support that usually cover it and how they can be arranged.

What NDIS supports can Support Network help arrange?

In-home support, personal care, community access, social and community participation, transport, domestic assistance, respite, overnight support, SIL support, complex care, and nursing support where appropriate.

Can a parent, nominee or guardian enquire on someone's behalf?

Yes. Most enquiries come from a parent, family member, nominee, guardian or carer. Just tell us your relationship to the participant.

Do I need to know my funding details first?

No. Self-managed, plan-managed or agency-managed — tell us what you know, or that you are unsure, and we will explain how support usually works with each.

Can I choose my own support workers?

Yes. You can review information about the workers available near you, ask questions and decide who provides your support. Choice and control sit with you.

How quickly can support start?

It depends on your area, the support required and how many hours are involved. Urgent situations such as hospital discharge are common — tell us the timeframe and we will be straight with you about what is realistic.

Can I get support in a regional area?

Coverage is strongest across metropolitan areas and continues to grow regionally. Tell us your town or region and we will be honest about what is available nearby.

Do you support complex or high-intensity needs?

Tell us what the support involves — high-intensity supports, behaviour support, manual handling, PEG, bowel care, epilepsy management, languages spoken — and we will factor that experience into the workers put forward.

Does Support Network decide my NDIS funding?

No. Support Network does not assess, approve or guarantee NDIS funding or eligibility. We help you explore support options and arrange services that fit the plan you already have.

Is there any obligation when I enquire?

None. The first conversation is about understanding what you need and explaining the options available near you.

Support that fits your life, with people you choose.

Tell us what you need and where you live, and we will help you explore the options.
