Why families move to Support Network

Not another rostered stranger. The worker Mum actually chose.

Traditional providers send whoever's on shift. We do it differently: independent workers, personalised matching, and the same familiar face every week.

More choice

Shortlist workers by personality, language, gender and interests. You pick — we don't allocate.

Greater flexibility

Book a visit, half a day, or 24/7. Change your schedule week to week — no penalty.

Independent workers

Experienced Australian workers who choose this life, not agency shift-fillers.

More of your funding, more care

Less spent on office overheads means more of your budget reaches the person at your door.

Personalised matching

We match by the small things: shared language, love of gardening, same footy team.

Meet before you commit

Free meet-and-greet with every worker before they ever start a shift.

Traditional providers vs Support Network

The quiet difference — who turns up, and whether you chose them.

Aged care — frequently asked

The questions families ask us most.

Support at Home replaced the Home Care Package program on 1 November 2025. If you already had a package, you were moved across automatically and your budget was matched - you didn't need to reapply. The main differences are that there are now eight funding classifications instead of four levels, budgets are released quarterly rather than annually, and providers can no longer charge separate administration or exit fees. If you're new to aged care, Support at Home is the program you'll be assessed for.
If your current services aren't quite covering things anymore, that's usually the point to ask about a Support at Home assessment. We're happy to talk it through and help you understand what's available.
Traditional providers send whoever is on shift. We match you with independent support workers you actually choose — by personality, language and interests — and you keep the same faces every week, so more of your funding goes to your actual care.
Yes. You can use Support at Home, a transitioned Home Care Package or private care with us. There is no lock-in.
Yes — always. We call it a meet-and-greet: a free 20-minute chat in your home or over video. If it's not the right fit, we introduce someone else. You never end up with a stranger on your doorstep.
For private clients, often within 48 hours. For Support at Home or transitioned package clients, once your funding is confirmed we can start within 5–10 business days. Urgent hospital discharges: same-day where possible.
Support at Home groups services into three categories. Clinical care covers nursing, allied health and other health support - this is fully funded by the government with no contribution from you. Independence covers personal care, getting out and about, and support that helps you keep doing things for yourself. Everyday living covers cleaning, meals, gardening and home maintenance. Your classification sets the budget; you and your care team decide how it's used.
For government-funded support, yes. An assessor will visit you at home, use the Integrated Assessment Tool to understand your needs and goals, and My Aged Care will send you a Notice of Decision confirming your classification and budget. We can help you prepare for that conversation. If you'd rather not wait, private care doesn't require an assessment and can start within 48 hours.
Absolutely. Around half of our aged care enquiries come from adult children. We can talk with you together, keep everyone in the loop with weekly notes, and set up a family portal if you'd like.
Usually yes. Call 1300 443 848 and tell us it's a hospital discharge and we'll prioritise it: private care can begin within 48 hours, often sooner, with no assessment required. We'll speak directly with the discharge planner or social worker if that's easier, and arrange personal care, transport home, meals and nursing support for the first weeks.
Yes. Our network includes registered and enrolled nurses for wound care, medication management, catheter and stoma care, diabetes support, post-operative recovery and palliative support at home — alongside allied health such as physio, OT and podiatry.
This is one of the most common situations we handle. You get weekly written care notes, a named coordinator you can ring directly, and the same worker each visit so changes get noticed early. Families often add a shared photo or check-in message after each shift.

Whenever you're ready

A familiar face at the door begins with one quiet call.

We'll listen first, walk through funding options, then match you with the right worker — at your pace, never ours.

No lock-in. No pressure. A real Australian on the other end of the line.
