Here is a list of most of the services you can find on Support Network:
Domestic assistance
Domestic assistance covers light jobs performed in a household, such as cooking, doing the dishes and light gardening. This includes:
- Light housework
- Maintenance around the home
- Grocery shopping
- Meal preparation
- Light gardening
Social support
Social support addresses a client’s social needs and helps them stay engaged with the outside world. It includes:
- Transport
- Companionship and conversation
- Personal admin assistance
- Exercise, sports and leisure
- Community access (including outings and activities)
Nursing services
Nursing services are only offered by registered or enrolled nurses who have experience and an AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) registration that has been active for at least 12 months. It covers tasks like:
- Wound Care
- Palliative Nursing Care
- Catheter Care
- Medication Management
- Continence Assessment & Management
- Case Assessment & Management
- Vital Signs Monitoring
- Respiratory Care
- Pre- & Post-acute Hospital Care
Personal Care
Personal Care involves assisting someone with daily tasks such as showering, personal hygiene and toileting. Support workers who offer this service on our platform must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in aged care or disability services. Personal Care includes:
- Toileting
- Showering, dressing and personal grooming
- Manual transfer and assistance with mobility
Allied Health services
Allied Health services are delivered by qualified health professionals who are not doctors, nurses or dentists. It includes services such as:
- Occupational Therapy
- Physical Therapy
- Psychological and mental health services
- Speech therapy and/or pathology
