What types of services can I offer through Support Network?

You can offer a wide range of services once you sign up and are approved as an independent support worker on our platform. Your profile allows you to display which areas you have experience in, so you can connect with clients who require your services.

Some services can be performed by anyone, while others (e.g. Medication Management) require a relevant qualification.

Here is a list of most of the services you can offer with Support Network:

Domestic assistance

Domestic assistance covers light jobs performed in a household, such as cooking, doing the dishes and light gardening. You don’t need any qualifications to perform these tasks. Domestic assistance includes:


Social support

Social support addresses a client’s social needs and helps them stay engaged with the outside world. You don’t need any qualifications to perform these tasks. Social support includes:

Nursing services

To offer nursing services through Support Network, you must be a registered or enrolled nurse, have more than 1 year of relevant nursing experience, be registered as a nurse with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency), and have an AHPRA registration that has been active for at least 12 months

Please do not offer any services that your AHPRA registration does not allow you to provide. Nursing services covers:

Personal Care

Personal Care involves assisting someone with daily tasks such as showering, personal hygiene and toileting. Jobs in this category require a minimum of 2 years’ experience in aged care or disability services. Personal Care includes:

Allied Health services

Allied Health services are delivered by professionals who are not doctors, nurses or dentists. To offer Allied Health services on Support Network, you must be registered with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) or a relevant professional association, and have more than 1 year of relevant professional experience.
