The Home Care Services We Provide in Capalaba
All your funding provides, organised around your usual routine. Choose to visit once a week or gradually increase to daily support, it's up to you.
Personal care
Showering, dressing, grooming, continence support and mobility support, provided with patience from someone you know and trust.
Domestic assistance
Keeping your home the way you like it, cleaning, laundry, bed changes and the more challenging household tasks.
Meal preparation
Doing the shopping and cooking meals which you actually wish to eat, including what you were accustomed to eating as a kid, prepared the way you prefer.
Social support & community access
Friends at home, outings, appointments, community services, clubs or church, the bond that makes life so familiar.
Transport
Access to medical appointments, shops, visits and errands, with someone who accompanies you if you wish.
Respite for family carers
Respite care: planned so the person who will be doing most of the caring has time for rest, work or an afternoon of their own.
Overnight & sleepover support
Someone in the house overnight, for safety, for night-time support, or so a family carer can get a good night's sleep.
Nursing
Nursing care that is fully funded so there is nothing to pay: wound care, medication management, continence support and clinical supervision by a registered nurse.
Allied health & therapy
Occupational therapy, physiotherapy and podiatry, including home assessments which can often minimise the amount of paid support needed.
Clinical services cost you nothing
Under Support at Home, nursing, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and podiatry are fully government funded, and do not depend on your income or assets. Personal care is now fully funded as well, from 1 October 2026.
