This series has focused on the most common factor in determining an SDA tenancy: the support arrangement that comes with the housing, which you're not responsible for but can't afford to ignore. This last article is about what to do with that.
Support Network links people seeking supported living with workers, and with providers who have places. We get enquiries from participants, families, support coordinators and plan managers, and we need somewhere to send them.
We're not a support provider and we don't run your property. We match people to arrangements.
Tell us about it and we'll say honestly whether we have anyone it really suits. If we do, we'll make an introduction. If we don't, we'll tell you, instead of sending you a tour that wastes the afternoon.
We don't guarantee how fast a match happens, that depends on who's looking and what's on offer.
Where an enquiry has stalled because no supports were organised, or a tenancy is at risk because the wrong support was arranged, the resident or their coordinator can search Support Network directly for workers by location, experience and language, read their profiles and meet them before finalising their support.
This is free for participants, their families, support coordinators and plan managers.
The details of the dwelling, who it would suit, and who it wouldn't. The more honest that is, the fewer wasted introductions in either direction.
Imagine the dwelling from the first article in this series, empty for months, with three enquiries stuck on the support side. The provider gives us that, and an honest picture of who they cater for. Two of the three stalled enquiries are people we can help find workers. The third was never going to work, and knowing that has value too.
Send us your current openings and a straightforward description of who each one would suit. That's the whole onboarding.
