Respite for family carers
Respite care: organised so the carer who does most of the care can rest, work or have an afternoon to themselves.
Overnight & sleepover support
Someone in the house overnight for safety, for night-time support, or so a family carer can have a good night's sleep.
Nursing
Home nursing from registered nurses: wound care, medication management, continence support, dementia care and palliative care, all fully funded, so it costs you nothing.
Allied health & therapy
Occupational therapy, physiotherapy services and podiatry, including home assessments which can reduce the amount of paid support needed.
Clinical services cost you nothing
Under Support at Home, nursing from specialised nursing staff, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and podiatry are fully funded by the government, with no contribution, even if you have income or assets. Also, from 1 October 2026, personal care is fully funded too.
