Support Coordination for Adelaide and SA

Adelaide’s NDIS market is one of the more established and mature markets in South Australia, as it was one of the trial states from 2013 onwards. You have a good range of providers to choose from, but it’s a well-established market that still needs to be navigated, and a coordinator is valuable in identifying which providers are appropriate for your objectives.

Availability is relatively strong in Adelaide, with the compact geography of the city being a distinct benefit over the sprawl of the eastern capitals, but it’s not equally strong in all areas. A local coordinator familiar with this map will help you find services that have capacity in your area.

Our coordinators cover the whole of metropolitan Adelaide, from the northern growth suburbs, through the inner ring, out to the coast and up to the Adelaide Hills at Mount Barker, making SA’s well-established provider network real, connected and accessible to you.

Areas we serve include Elizabeth, Salisbury, Noarlunga, Marion, Port Adelaide, Modbury, Glenelg, Mount Barker, Golden Grove and Morphett Vale.

Support Coordination in Adelaide: Your Questions

Does a longer NDIS history in Adelaide benefit me as a participant?

It has a more established provider base than newer markets, which means you have good options, but you’ll still need to know which providers have capacity and which are a good fit for your goals. That’s what our local coordinators can assist you with.

Is it possible to support participants in the Adelaide Hills and outer suburbs?

Yes, from the metro area to the Hills around Mount Barker and the north and south boundaries. We arrange this in person where appropriate and online, so there’s no need for location to be a factor.

Is there any cost to support coordination?

No. If support coordination is included in your plan as part of Capacity Building, it’s funded from your allocated plan budget and won’t be paid out of pocket. You won’t receive an invoice unless you’re self-managed, and it doesn’t flow from your core supports.

How many levels of support coordination are there?

Level 1 is Support Connection ($80.06/hr in 2025-26), a less intensive approach to connecting with services. The most frequent level is Level 2, Coordination of Supports ($100.14/hr). Level 3, Specialist Support Coordination ($190.54/hr), is delivered by more qualified practitioners for complex needs or significant risk.

Do I have a choice of support coordinator?

Yes. If support coordination is included in your plan, you have a choice of provider, you’re not assigned to a specific coordinator, and you can change coordinator if one isn’t suitable.
