Support Coordination for Perth and WA

The NDIS in WA has a unique nature, and the WA market wasn’t introduced as quickly as the eastern states, with the national regulator coming in at the end of 2020. A coordinator with local knowledge of the system, not just the national rules, makes a difference for Perth participants.

The biggest local problem is distance. Provider coverage gets sparse towards the edges of Perth’s metro area, out to Joondalup in the north and Rockingham and Mandurah in the south. A support coordinator who understands which WA providers actually service which areas can save you a lot of time.

Our coordinators can help you from the northern corridor (around Joondalup and Wanneroo), through the eastern suburbs to Midland and the hills, down to the southern coast (Rockingham to Mandurah), spanning WA’s distances to make your plan work.

Areas we serve include Joondalup, Rockingham, Mandurah, Armadale, Midland, Fremantle, Cockburn, Wanneroo, Canning and Gosnells.

Support Coordination in Perth: Your Questions

Does a WA support coordinator know the provider network?

Yes, that’s the whole point of local knowledge. WA’s NDIS market is unlike the eastern states, and our coordinators know which providers service which parts of Perth, which makes a big difference given how spread out the metro area is.

If I’m in an outer Perth suburb (Mandurah or Joondalup), can you help?

Absolutely. Provider availability is thinnest in the outer areas, so finding out who genuinely serves your suburb is invaluable. We plan and oversee supports throughout the Perth metro, end to end.

What does support coordination cost me?

Nothing out of pocket. If your plan funds it under Capacity Building, support coordination is claimed from that allocated funding. You won’t have to pay anything, and you won’t get an invoice unless you’re self-managed. It doesn’t come from your core supports.

How many levels of support coordination are there?

Level 1, Support Connection ($80.06/hr in 2025-26), is a lighter touch for connecting with services. The most common level is Level 2, Coordination of Supports ($100.14/hr). Level 3, Specialist Support Coordination ($190.54/hr), is delivered by more qualified practitioners where there’s complex or high-level risk.

Can I choose my own support coordinator?

Yes. Where support coordination is included in your plan, you have a choice of coordinator, one won’t be assigned to you, and you can switch coordinators if they’re not the right fit.
